Videos of the Keynote Addresses from the 2014 Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology by author Daniel Pink and Robbie Melton, associate vice chancellor of eLearning and emerging mobilization technology with the Tennessee Board of Regents, are now available at the Symposium website. To view the videos, please go to the Symposium video page.

Pink’s Keynote focused on how to motivate people, including the importance of specifying not just the “how” of projects but the “why”. He also stressed that people do not engage because of managers, but engage because of self-direction. Melton’s Keynote was a “show-and-tell’ style presentation where she demoed and discussed various mobile apps for learning. She not only showed off mobile apps that are not even on the market yet, but offered a matrix to help people determine if particular apps would fit with their teaching style and subject.

Along with the Keynotes, over the next few weeks Symposium session videos will also be added to the Symposium video page. Please be sure to check back on a regular basis to see which ones have been added.
