Anyone interested in the use of games in education is invited to attend a free educational gaming brown bag entitled “Digital Badge Pilots at Penn State” on Wednesday, February 18 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in 202K Rider Building, University Park or via a Meeting@PennState desktop videoconference.

Emily Rimland from the University Libraries and Kate Miffitt from the College of the Liberal Arts will discuss badging initiatives aimed at developing skills such as information literacy, digital pedagogy, and citizenship.

The presenters will discuss the goals of their badging initiatives, review their progress, highlight research related to the initiatives, and provide updates about Penn State’s badging system.
