On Wednesday, February 4, 2015, Information Technology Services will archive inactive groups to free storage space and improve its management of ANGEL. Archived groups will be stored for two years, then permanently deleted.

If you wish a group in which you have editor rights to remain active, prior to February 4:

  1. Go to ANGEL at http://cms.psu.edu/ and log on using your Penn State Access Account user ID and password.
  2. On the My Profile page, select the name of the group.
  3. Select the Manage tab.
  4. Beneath the PSU Data Management subheading, select the Archive Settings link.
  5. Check the Do Not Archive check box.

    Check the Do Not Archive check box.

  6. Click the Save button.

Although a group can have multiple editors, only you as the user who initially changes this setting will be able to change it after it is modified the first time. Other editors of the group cannot change the setting once you have done so. When they are viewing the group settings screen, the Do Not Archive setting is grayed out and your name is listed as the user who changed the setting.

Note: If your group is archived, you as the group editor may request that it be restored using the ANGEL Support contact form at https://cms.psu.edu/psad/psad20/index.asp. Any problems you experience following the directions above should also be reported using this form.
