The Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology had yet another fantastic event, and the Symposium Planning Team thanks attendees for their continued support and for making the Symposium the amazing event that it is.
The Symposium Planning Team is always looking for ways to enhance the Symposium, and key to that effort is attendee input. Therefore, they invite Symposium attendees to please take a brief survey on their Symposium experience. The responses will help in planning next year’s event.
Recordings of all of the general sessions in Presidents Hall, including keynote talks with Sir Ken Robinson and Patty Perillo, will be made available in the near future. Also, the winner of the 2017 Open Innovation Challenge was Scott Yabiku, professor of sociology and demography, University Park, whose winning idea was “Improve Your Teaching Every Day.” Yabiku’s idea involves facial emotion detection to monitor student engagement and enable better feedback for faculty.
The date for the next Symposium is Saturday, March 17, 2018.
