Kyle Peck

Professor Emeritus
College of Education
2013 TLT Faculty Fellow
Focus Area: Digital Badges

Kyle is working with Teaching and Learning with Technology to help design a badge platform and explore a wide variety of use cases for the use of badges in various contexts. Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to TLT, playing a key role in the STEM Scouts project as well as the Principal Investigator for the NASA Aerospace Education Services Project. Both of these projects have a digital badge component, exploring how badges can be used to illustrate competencies.

Higher education currently provides minimal and poor quality information about products (skills and knowledge) that are much more important than the products we buy online. This will not continue to be tolerated. We need to take assessment seriously, embracing the badging movement and setting the bar high, or accept the path to irrelevance.
