Xhosa (or isiXhosa) is a Bantu language spoken in South Africa and elsewhere. Xhosa is one language with a number of clicks, although these are all spelled with English letters.
Because the Xhosa writing system is based on the English alphabet and has no accents, no special accent codes or fonts are needed.
Accent codes are generally not needed except when spelling out tones (e.g. à, á, â)
See the Accent Page for information about writing out tone marks in Windows or Macintosh.
Language Code: xh
Language tags are suggested so that search engines and screen readers parse the language of a page. These are meta data tags which indicate the page of a language, not devices to trigger translation.
Visit the Language Tag page to view information on where to insert it.
