As we continue to adapt to our new normal, we have made the important decision to cancel the in-person versions of the 2020 Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology and Canvas Day. This year’s scheduled events will transition to a virtual platform. Though these challenging times will keep us physically apart, they won’t dampen our collective innovative spirit.

The upcoming virtual TLT Summer Series will include presentations from Symposium and Canvas Day. The Summer Series kicks off on Wednesday, May 13, at 10:00 a.m. with Jennifer Sparrow, associate vice president for Teaching and Learning with Technology, as the featured presenter. Ten additional sessions will follow on upcoming Wednesdays this summer, featuring up to 90 minutes of Symposium topics and up to one hour of Canvas Day content. All of the TLT Summer Series presentations have been adapted from their in-person versions.

Canvas Day’s popular “One Cool Thing” contest will also be a part of the Summer Series. Presenters will do a live showcase of the cool way in which they use Canvas. Afterward, the session recording will be posted online along with a link that allows viewers to vote for their favorite presentation.

The Summer Series schedule is currently being built as presenters confirm their availability to deliver their topics in a virtual format. Bookmark the Symposium website, follow Teaching and Learning with Technology on Twitter, and subscribe to the TLT Newsletter for the most up-to-date information on the TLT Summer Series.
