UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State received two prestigious awards this summer from 1EdTech, a community of nearly 900 member institutions dedicated to accelerating the digital transformation of learning.
‘Course Insights’
Course Insights, a learning analytic tool developed by the Data Empowering Learning (DEL) team in Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT), received the platinum-level Learning Impact Award. This award recognizes innovative applications of educational technology that address the most significant challenges facing education.
Course Insights conveys learning-related insight to instructors about the population of students enrolled in their Canvas courses. The analytics empower instructors to explore the relationships between course engagements and learner activity to outcomes in their courses, helping them shape their pedagogical strategies, course administration, and out-of-class student support needs.
