Impact Statement
The first year in a tenure-track position can be challenging when balancing research, teaching, and service. However, the support of the team at Teaching & Learning with Technology has been essential in giving me access to a wide range of resources that made this year successful from the very beginning. Early on, I was able to quickly learn how to use Canvas, which allowed me to set up the platform effectively for both my students and myself across both semesters. These foundational skills were further strengthened through events like the Dreamery Speaker Series, where I learned how to design an accessible syllabus and improve learning materials with the diverse needs of students in mind. More recently, I participated in the Technology-Enhanced Learning Leaders program, which has broadened my perspective on how to integrate emerging technological tools into my teaching.
