Andrew Kennedy is an Applications Developer with a focus on designing and developing interactive learning experiences across a diverse range of technologies. His expertise spans cutting-edge experimental platforms, such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), as well as more traditional digital environments, including web and mobile applications. Andrew’s adaptability and technical proficiency enable him to craft experiences that meet the unique needs and preferences of Penn State students.
Since joining the XR Design & Development team in 2020, Andrew has concentrated on leveraging various technologies to create customized solutions in response to faculty requests. His collaborative efforts include significant contributions to the Center for Immersive Experiences (CIE) and TLT’s Immersive Experiences (IE) team. Notably, he played a key role in developing the Shaver’s Creek Pollinator Tour for CIE and created both the web and mobile application versions of IMPACT, an empathy-based critical thinking card game, for the IE team.
Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in Game Design and Production from Drexel University and a master’s degree in Project Management from Penn State. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys biking, playing card games such as Magic: The Gathering and connecting with friends on Discord.
