Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee
A platform for constructive dialogue, innovation, and collaboration on technology-enhanced instructional practices at Penn State.
Program Goals
The Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee is composed of faculty leaders who are passionate about implementing technology in teaching practices and exploring new pedagogical approaches. The committee will play a pivotal role in guiding TLT on integrating technology into teaching and learning across disciplines. Our mission is centered around a set of strong program goals that drive us forward, empower our faculty, and enhance the learning experience for our students at Penn State.
Committee members are expected to contribute in the following methods.
Engage regularly with a faculty leadership group comprising individuals who play pivotal roles in the intersection of Teaching and Learning Technology (TLT) and University Information Technology (UIT). Participate regularly in the Faculty Advisory Committee Meetings. Interact asynchronously with fellow advisory committee members to exchange feedback and timely topics.
Guide and lead decisions regarding technology’s role in teaching and learning at Penn State. Act as catalysts for innovation by providing valuable feedback and recommendations on strategic directions for TLT and IT.
Advocate for teaching, learning, technology, and innovation across discipline areas. Promote the offerings of TLT and UIT. Cultivate dialogue with colleagues about teaching and learning technologies to collect and highlight excellence in instructional practices that make a difference in our student’s lives.
Recommend topical focus areas for programs, events, and strategic initiatives. Make suggestions and recommendations on existing and future investment areas. Ensure our resources align with our evolving needs.
