Embracing Teaching and Learning with Technology for Faculty New to Penn State
Provost endorsement for faculty new to Penn State
The Embracing Teaching and Learning with Technology for New Faculty Endorsement provides access to key teaching and learning with technology resources and support for faculty who are early in their careers at Penn State. Through the endorsement activities, faculty will enhance their knowledge of essential teaching and learning academic technologies, connect with peers across the commonwealth who are also new to the University, and learn about administrative units that support and provide resources to faculty. Upon completion, faculty will strengthen their digital fluency skills which ultimately elevates faculty teaching and student learning.
By completing this endorsement, participants will:
-
- Gain a foundational knowledge of essential academic technologies available at Penn State
- Build a network of faculty peers to share insights, resources, and ask questions surrounding teaching, student learning, and emerging technologies
- Identify key academic units and offices that provide support and resources for faculty
- Develop and apply strategies to optimize teaching and learning with technology practices
- Reflect on and share key teaching and learning with technology practices learned through the endorsement activities
