Opportunities:
Connect with colleagues, pursue new ideas, expand your horizons
Engagement with faculty from across the University allows us to explore, develop, utilize and research innovative applications of technology to improve teaching and learning. Our method of cultivating instructors’ skills that enrich the learning experience is one that approaches development as a shared journey. Part of this journey is bringing faculty together in common experiences to share their inspirations, reflections and learning with one another.
Teaching and Learning with AI

In order to transform education in positive and enduring ways, it is crucial to understand the challenges that impact our faculty’s pedagogy and also student success. Our fellowship program works with faculty to identify these challenges and explores how technology can help overcome them. These partnerships expand the reach of impactful ideas and help shape the Penn State community’s future.

Annually, TLT grants several Faculty Engagement Awards. They focus on a specific theme that brings together sound pedagogy and digital tools that can enhance the educational experience. Award recipients are furnished resources to support their exploration and development of that year’s topic. Each award includes a multi-semester, collaborative arrangement with an instructional designer and technology support staff.
Advisory Boards
The Teaching and Learning Technologies Faculty Advisory Committee and Student Technology Advisory Representatives (STAR) the contribute to shaping Penn State’s approach to education technology. These groups ensure that diverse student voices and innovative faculty insights guide the development of tools and practices that enhance teaching and learning across the university.
